About us and Strahlfoili

Strahlfoili horse and hoof care products were developed by Canadian farrier Aletia Reilingh and help horse owners, grooms, farriers, hoof trimmers and veterinarians take the step towards improved horse and hoof health.

In 2014, Aletia moved from Canada to Europe and soon found her home in Borken, North Rhine-Westphalia/Germany. An area with one of the highest horse densities in Germany. With the highest horse density, came many hoof problems such as thrush, hoof cracks, hollow wall (white line disease) and more.

As a state-certified farrier, Aletia was presented with many horses with thrush and other hoof problems on an almost daily basis, which was a thorn in her side. Over the years, she tried all the products available on the market at the time, but was not satisfied with the results. As the long-term effects of existing products in particular were unsatisfactory, Aletia and her team developed the formula for Strahlfoili!

After 1.5 years of extensive testing, in collaboration with vets and horse owners, Strahlfoili was finally released to the horse world in early 2023, saying goodbye forever to problems such as thrush, hoof cracks and brittle hoof soles!

Our Strahlfoili journey began with the market launch at the start of 2023 and we have received consistently positive feedback from horse owners, farriers, hoof trimmers and vets.

In addition to her profession as a farrier, Aletia is also an ambitious competition rider and loves a good challenge. Since our journey should not stop at Strahlfoili, we have develpped and launched further products (Hufoili and Beinfoili) that will contribute to hoof health and horse care.
