Who is the face behind Strahlfili and the hoof company?
Who developed Strahlfoili?
Strahlfoili horse and hoof care products were developed by Canadian farrier Aletia Reilingh to help horse owners, grooms, farriers, hoof trimmers and veterinarians take the step towards improved horse and hoof health.
In 2014, Aletia moved from Canada to Europe and soon found her home in Borken, North Rhine-Westphalia/Germany. An area with one of the highest horse densities in Germany. With the highest horse density, came many hoof problems such as thrush, hoof cracks, hollow wall (white line disease) and co.
As a state-certified farrier, Aletia was presented with many horses with thrush and other hoof problems on an almost daily basis, which was a thorn in her side. Over the years, she tried all the products available on the market at the time, but was not satisfied with the results. As the long-term effects of existing products in particular were unsatisfactory, Aletia and her team developed the formula for Strahlfoili!

After 1.5 years of extensive testing, in collaboration with vets and horse owners, the time had finally come in early 2023 to unleash Strahlfoili on the horse world and say goodbye forever to problems such as thrush, hoof cracks and brittle soles!
Our Strahlfoili journey began with the market launch in early 2023 and we have received consistently positive feedback from horse owners, farriers, hoof trimmers and vets. At the beginning of 2024, we added two more top horse care products to our range: Hufoili and Beinfoili.
In 2024, we also won a Brozen German Stevie Award for our Instagram page and, thanks to our great customers, we also won the Golden ‘People's Choice Award’ for Company of the Year. In mid-2024, we moved into our new production hall in the Borken area and we look forward to seeing what else the future holds.
