Who is the face behind Strahlfoili and The Hoof Company
Who developed Strahlfoili?
Strahlfoili horse and hoof care products were developed by Canadian farrier Aletia Reilingh and help horse owners, grooms, farriers, hoof trimmers and vets to improve horse and hoof health.
In 2014, Aletia moved from Canada to Europe and soon found her home in Borken, North Rhine-Westphalia, Germany. This is an area with one of the highest densities of horses in Germany. With the highest density of horses came many hoof problems such as thrush, hoof cracks, white line disease and so on.
As a state-certified farrier, Aletia was presented with many horses suffering from thrush and other hoof problems on an almost daily basis, which was a thorn in her side. Over the years, she tried all the products available on the market at the time, but was dissatisfied with the results. Since the long-term effects of existing products were particularly unsatisfactory, Aletia and her team developed the formula for Strahlfoili!
Since neither I nor my customers were satisfied with the results of the available products in the long term, I developed the formula for Strahlfoili together with my team!
After 1.5 years of extensive testing, in collaboration with veterinarians and horse owners, the time had finally come in early 2023 to unleash Strahlfoili on the equestrian world and say goodbye to problems such as thrush, hoof cracks and brittle hoof soles forever!
Our Strahlfoili journey began with the market launch in early 2023, and we have received consistently positive feedback from horse owners, farriers, hoof care specialists and veterinarians. At the beginning of 2024, two more top horse care products were added to our range: Hufoili and Beinfoili.
In 2024, we also won a Bronze German Stevie Award for our Instagram page and, thanks to our wonderful customers, the Golden People's Choice Award for Company of the Year. In mid-2024, we moved into our new production hall in the greater Borken area, and we are excited to see what else the future holds.
